Description
Arizona, can be so inspirational, and beautiful, when you are able to get off the path, and investigate all of it's hidden treasures! The jumbo Sycamore trees, in the fall, are one of "The Artist " favorite, because their contrast in color to the sky, is always so apparent, and so beautiful. Capturing this beauty, as a painting, is a difficult challenge, but it not impossible. The Artist was so inspired to capture this contrast, and conquer the personal challenge, he spent many, many, hours laboring over the layers of oil paint, to make it happen. He eventually achieved his goal. In addition, Templeton included many rich, bold, and striking colors of all the other beautiful trees, that transform in "fall". The Autumnal change in season, has always fascinated the Artist, because he grew up surounded by it, in the beautiful Midwest. "The adventure team" (Templeton and his dogs) spent many hours investigating, and studying the gifts that nature had to offer, deep in the woods. Most of the colors can be found in the forest, in the fall, and that is why "The Artist" feels most people, including himself, are so attracted to Autumn. Templeton admits, that multi - colored, complex compositions, and the paintings with reflections, are challenging, but that is one of the reasons he chose to attempt to capture them. An intence color theory, good balance, and an accurate reflection, within this compostion, make this painting visually desirable. Growing, expanding, and personal challenge, are all valid components to the maturation process, as an artist, and in this particular painting, "The Artist" feels he really was able to achieve all these experiences!
