This is one of the Artist's very first published Mexican Folk Art paintings. Most featured very brilliant color, and southwest subject matter. There are 12 or so paintings, in this collection, all of which show the simple and relaxed lifestyle of the Mexican people. The Artist usually brings a little architecture into the landscape, and somehow infuses humor into the concept of the piece. The landscapes usually include fruits or vegetables in the foreground of the compositions he created. The plantations usually reflect evidence of abundance of the region, and are symbolic and well renderd. In this story, The little boy has a wagon to fill with juicy, ripe, mangoes for his family, if the "Mango Man" will take his cash offer. The man has his folk guitar, and he will gladly oblidge the young boys request .This painting is protected under the copyright laws of the United States.
