Description
This wonderful rooster became a subject when the artist was accosted by him on a hot summer day at Monches Farm in Wisconsin. The artist grew up in the midst of many wonderful farms. The farms and barns can be seen (along with all the animals) in many of his photographs and are prevalent in his Whimsical paintings .William found himself inspired and fascinated by there wonderful features and quirky personalities. Therefore he was always looking, finding , and hanging with them for inspiration and entertainment. The artist would often visit the neighbors farms with his niece Holly, or a handful of nephews. Together they would collect the farm fresh eggs, from the chickens, bring them home to the mansion , and make a big breakfast for the fam. Although William had permission, he would pretend they were sneaking the eggs away mischievously , to create a sense of sculduggery for the children. This rooster has a beautiful breast full of hearts.Although he looks as though he may have had a rough night, he was the perfect model for this conceptual and humorous photograph. Please call the artist directly if you are interested in a giclee of this piece. 480-946-5304
