This painting shows another style the Artist would enjoy when he was on vacation in Wisconsin. Painting on location, was always a challenge because of crazy weather conditions,and temptations. The fun subject matter, and reflection of the Artist free and happy spirit, can be seen in many of these paintings of this period. These three pigs are a perfect example of the endless party, that was going on behind the scenes, at this time in the young Artist life. A true abundance of everything, fun in all respects, happiness and bliss surrounded the Artist, his friends, and his family. Happy Swine wallowing in mud, gifts, beer, corn , and champagne, can be seen in the foreground of this wonderful, whimsical, watercolor painting. It seems to have been a mess of a good time!
