Description
Truely one of the artist's most treasured experiences thus far, this tropical beauty was inspired, created, and produced after a trip to Jamaica with Lord and Lady Thorsen (Mark and Ann) and the Bauers (Elizabeth and Bill). This complex jungle composition of flowers was difficult for the painter, but with close observation and careful study of the subjects, the gifted artist was able to persevere and complete this magical piece. This looks like a bunch of pretty flowers whipped into a vase, but it is actually a well thought out group of accurate jungle species placed systematically in a pineapple vase which represents the symbol of hospitality. Overwhelming-beauty and vivid visual overload was something the group shared, and they will always remember. Major hikes and investigations into the jungle inspired some of the artist's best work, and this painting is an example of true back in the deep jungle inspiration. Without the generosity of his friends and family, his body of work would not be nearly as complete. This painting is protected under the copyright laws of the United States.
