Title
Chapel of the hill
Artist
William T Templeton
Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
The Artist recently visited his good friends, and was so inspired by one of the photographs, in their lovely home, that he asked permission to attempt to capture it on canvas. He was deeply involved in another more complicated painting, but felt so inspired, by the image, he chose to take a break, and create his own version of it. The photograph was originally taken by the extremely talented William W. Fuller, and is named, "Laguna Pueblo ". It was taken, by his friend, in New Mexico in 1982. Chapels, churches, and anything religious, is a favorite subject of the Artist, as he" Knows deep inside his heart" he is working for the lord. The photograph was originally, black and white, and the building was shades of white. "The Artists" created his own version of the composition, with rich, warm hues of Tera cotta. The painting became more dramatic, and Southwest, and the lesson learned, was that even great work, can become greater!
