Description
The Artist has been blessed to have a bunch of wonderful friends in his life. This little girl, is the daughter of two of his best friends. These loyal, and close friends, remain anonymous , but it is clear, that he loved them all enough to spend the time to paint their little "Maya". International Appeal, wonderful color usage, and a simple, subtle composition, make up the enjoyable elements of this wonderful oil painting. Internationally Known Publisher Joan Cawley would explain to her clients that, Templeton's vegetables and fruits were so realistic, accurate, and enticing, that she wanted to just "eat them". Joan was also impressed by the fact that Templeton would include interesting architectural elements in his landscapes. Although proportions were exagerated (the fruit), they were done in a fashion that was complimentary to the piece, included in the title, and were usually the focal point of the painting. This became a trademark that can be identified in Templeton's unique style.
